Fort Worth’s gourmet taco restaurant, Taco Heads, announces their second location at 1921 N. Henderson Ave. in Dallas. The restaurant is set to open early June, but Dallas residents will be able to preview Taco Heads’ menu through their food truck that will be out front starting May 17 while interior construction is completed.
“We love the Henderson location – the street, the neighborhood and the close-knit community vibe,” said Sarah Castillo, Taco Heads’ founder and owner. “We’ve been greeted by so many of the restaurants with open arms which makes this small town girl feel right at home.”
Castillo attributes the restaurant’s success to the employees, quality of food, and the multigenerational recipes – the brisket found in their tacos take 12 hours to prepare, they butcher their own meats, the eggs are real, cheese is hand-grated, and tortillas are fresh from a local family-owned distributor. “We’re passionate about serving the community scratch-made, real food,” said Castillo. “We do everything in-house, and these recipes are passed down from my grandmother, mother and my aunts.”
Beginning May 17, the Taco Heads Dallas food truck will be parked outside Thursday through Saturday at the location serving late night patrons both breakfast and traditional tacos – including bacon, chorizo, papas, carnitas, chicken, brisket, and veggie – from 11PM to 2AM. Once the restaurant is open, the truck will continue to operate early morning and late night (7AM-11AM. and11PM-2AM).
Patrons who dine in will experience a dog-friendly patio, an open-air dining room, and a separate private dining area in the back where they can enjoy the “best margaritas in Texas.” Regular restaurant hours will be 11AM-11PM. The Dallas location’s opening is expected for early June, with a grand opening party in the works.
